Family physician, science writer, and Clinical Professor at UCSF, with a research appointment at UC Berkeley School of Public Health. Author of The Jungle Effect (2008) and Farmacology: Total Health from the Ground Up (2013), which became the basis for the documentary In Search of Balance. Founded the Health from the Soil Up initiative and helped pioneer ‘park prescriptions’ in medical practice.
