The work
Professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Colorado Boulder and a fellow of the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences. His lab uses sequencing and metagenomics to map microbial biogeography in soils, homes, and the built environment. The 2018 Science atlas (Delgado-Baquerizo et al.) analyzed 237 sites across six continents and produced a ‘most wanted’ list of dominant soil bacteria.
