The work
Professor in the Department of Soil and Crop Sciences at Colorado State University (PhD and postdoc, UC Berkeley, Banfield lab). Her Microbial Ecosystems Lab combines multi-omics with geochemistry across soils, rivers, wetlands, and guts, and built the widely used DRAM genome-annotation tool. Received the ISME Young Investigator Award (2020) and served on the 2024 National Academies committee on soil health and human health.
