Description
The other non-astringent kaki a northern grower is likely to be offered, and the one usually named as among the hardiest of the species.
‘Hardiest kaki’ is still kaki. It shifts the boundary by a zone, not by a climate. Where the winter genuinely goes below the species’ limit, the answer is not a hardier kaki but a hybrid or the American species — which is exactly the reasoning that produced ‘Rosseyanka’ and ‘Nikita’s Gift’.
