Description
Another of the northern chance seedlings, found in Gibson County, Indiana in 1911, and still on the recommended list for zone 6 more than a century later.
It is also cited as the likely seed parent of ‘Yates 68’, which was probably an open-pollinated Posey seedling planted by Ed Yates near Chrisney, Indiana. That lineage is recorded here as the sources state it — likely, not established — because a probable parentage repeated confidently becomes a fact nobody rechecks.
