Description
A controlled cross of the Italian cultivar ‘Tonda Pacifica’ onto an unpatented Oregon State selection, made in 1997.
It is the clearest example in this file of protection stacked across borders: a US plant patent and Canadian Plant Breeders’ Rights on the same plant. Two systems, two terms, two sets of paperwork — and a grower in either country has to read the one that applies to them.
Where to find it
No source recorded. That does not mean the cultivar is unavailable, only that this record does not yet name a nursery carrying it. Point us at one and it goes in.
