Description
The fourth of the 2020 Rutgers releases, and the one whose pedigree points somewhere other than Oregon. Its pollen parent is ‘Ratoli’, a Spanish cultivar carrying a source of blight resistance separate from ‘Gasaway’.
That is the entry in this file to read if you want to know where the crop goes next. Every ‘Gasaway’ cultivar shares one gene and therefore one failure mode. A resistance drawn from a different population is a second lock on the same door.
Where to find it
No source recorded. That does not mean the cultivar is unavailable, only that this record does not yet name a nursery carrying it. Point us at one and it goes in.
